We're looking for a practical, switched-on individual to take charge of weed management across the Litchfield region in a full time permanent capacity under the direction of the Program Leader.
As a Weed Management Officer, you won't be stuck behind a desk. You'll be out in the field literally spraying weeds, coordinating a small team, and looking after some of the Territory's most beautiful reserves and council land.
You'll be the kind of person who's organised, reliable, and happy running a team, as well as rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in. We need someone who can safely operate vehicles and equipment like 4WDs, tractors, buggies, and spray units, and who's comfortable using herbicides to tackle invasive species. If you're already experienced with weed identification in the Top End even better.
This job is about more than just spraying. You'll help plan fire and weed strategies, record and report your work, help with safety meetings and training, and keep all your tickets and team records up to date. It's a mix of hands-on work and admin support to keep the program running smoothly.
