ANZAC Day a Special Way!

Council would like to inform residents that the ANZAC spirit is still able to be shared with the community on Saturday 25 April 2020.

Whilst there won’t be a special ceremony like previous years, we can confirm, that there will be opportunity to remember at Humpty Doo Village Green and Thorak Regional Cemetery.

Humpty Doo Village Green – Thanks to the volunteers from the Lions Club of Litchfield and the caretaker of the Village Green, the gates will be open and the flags up between 9am and 12noon for the community to pay their respects. Entry is only given to the memorial not to other facilities of the Village Green. Please be mindful of the gathering and social distancing rules and be respectful of others that are visiting the memorial.

Thorak Regional Cemetery – The wonderful staff have the grounds looking pristine and they will be open from 7am to 7pm on ANZAC Day. The community are welcome to pay their respects in the Garden of Remembrance with the dedicated memorial walls and flags raised. Please be mindful of the gathering and social distancing rules.

Lest We Forget.
