Litchfield Art Exhibition 2026

Litchfield Council has officially opened its annual Litchfield Art Exhibition, with this year’s theme WILD bringing a bold and imaginative showcase of local artistic talent to life.

Now in its seventh year, the Litchfield Art Exhibition continues to grow as a key cultural event on the community calendar. The exhibition is delivered by Darwin Community Arts on behalf of Litchfield Council, highlighting the strength of local partnerships in supporting arts and culture across the region.

Mayor Rachael Wright welcomed attendees at the opening event, acknowledging the important contribution of local artists and the organisations that help bring the exhibition together.

“This exhibition is a wonderful celebration of our local creative community. The WILD theme has inspired an incredible range of works that showcase both the talent and imagination of our artists. It reinforces the important role arts and culture play in building a vibrant, connected and inclusive community.

“Council extends its thanks to Darwin Community Arts for delivering the exhibition, as well as to the many artists whose work brings the event to life and we remain committed to supporting the arts and exploring opportunities to further strengthen creative spaces in the region.

“Council recognises the value of arts and culture in fostering a strong and connected community, and we look forward to continuing to support initiatives that showcase local talent,” said Mayor Wright.

This year’s exhibition features a diverse collection of artworks across a range of mediums, including painting, photography, fibre art, carving and more.
