Artists Entry Details

The Litchfield Women in Business Network encourages Litchfield’s local artist to register in the in the "Visions of Balance" - Women of Litchfield Art Exhibition.


  • All entries will be eligible to win Litchfield's Choice Award
  • Each entry must clearly indicate the medium
  • Entries can include 2d and 3d works including painting, works on paper, sculpture, ceramics, wood, jewellery or textiles and metalwork.  Works on paper can include painting with oils, watercolours, pastels charcoal, printmaking, textiles backed on paper, photographs or other
  • Entry forms must be completed in full (below)
  • Entry fee of $15 per item via
  • Entries must be ready for presentation on delivery to exhibition venue

Award Prize

  • People’s Choice Award announced on Council’s Facebook site on Friday, 15 March 2019.  Votes will be collected from launch and exhibition attendees.

General Conditions

  • Entrants must be residents of Litchfield
  • Maximum of two entries per artist
  • No items will be accepted without an entry form via Council’s website
  • An entry fee of $15.00 is required per entry - paid via
  • Entries must be original work of the exhibitor and must have been completed during the past twelve months
  • Artwork must relate to the theme "Balance", through materials, concept or subject matter
  • Entry fees are non-refundable
  • The award is non-acquisitive
  • Entrants shall allow their work to be photographed for promotional purposes
  • Completed entry forms must be received by Litchfield Council by 15 February 2019
  • The LWIB Exhibition Committee reserves the right to consider, but not necessarily exhibit all works submitted
  • Artists will be advised if they are successful on Tuesday, 26 February 2019
  • Any conflict arising out of or in connection with these conditions of entry will be decided by the Committee whose decision shall be final


  • Works must not exceed 1m in any direction including frames, stands and bases
  • Works must not exceed a maximum weight of 15 kilograms
  • Works should be suitably framed for display, stretched canvas is considered a suitable frame
  • Entries must be delivered to Litchfield Council on Thursday, 7th March 2019 between 1:30pm and 6:30pm
  • All artists are invited free of charge to the official launch on Friday, 8th March 2019 at 5:30pm
  • All artists are invited to be present at anytime throughout the two-day exhibition
  • If artists provided sufficient notice, their presence at the exhibition will be included in the program
  • Placement and display is the responsibility of the artist
  • All work must be collected by 4:00pm on Monday,11 March 2019

Insurance / Responsibility

  • While all care is taken, Litchfield Council accepts no responsibility for damage caused to art works during installation, removal and while on display.
  • Works will be covered by entrants appropriate insurance while housed on Litchfield Council’s premises

Sale of Work

  • Works may be listed for sale
  • All sales will be conducted as a business arrangement between artist and prospective buyer including collection of sold item following the exhibition
  • Items sold must not be removed from the exhibition

Copyright / Use of Work

  • Litchfield Council reserves the right to reproduce images of exhibited works for promotional and marketing.
