Council meetings lead and guide the good governance of the Municipality and provide a forum for Councillors to discuss various Council issues. Council conducts its formal decision making process through Ordinary Council Meetings and Special Council meetings when required.
Council Meetings are open to the public. Three of the five Council members need to be present at a meeting for decisions to be made.
The agenda is available three days prior to the meeting at the Council Offices and on the website. Copies can also be distributed to the public at the meeting.
Please contact the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Mayor to request an item to be considered for tabling at Ordinary Meetings or if you need an item to be circulated to all Councillors.
If a paper is to be considered by Council it needs to be with the Council Secretary ten business days prior the Council meeting.
Council Meetings commence at 6.30pm and are held at the Litchfield Council Chambers, 7 Bees Creek Road, Freds Pass on the third Wednesday of every month (unless otherwise stated) and with the exception of the December meeting, which is held on the second Wednesday of the month. Agendas are available at the Council's front office in hard copy.
