Effective immediately Freds Pass Sport and Recreation Reserve, McMinns Lagoon and Knuckey Lagoon Recreation Reserves are only open to the public for exercising by yourself.

This is part of the direction Council received this morning from the Chief Health Officer.

No events or gatherings are permitted in any reserve.

People may continue to exercise their horses or dogs at one of the Reserves, however you must do it alone. This means no other family members can be with you.

We understand this sounds different to the health advice that has been given to the public, however the Department of Health made this directions specifically for the Reserves in the Litchfield Council area and Council has to abide by them.

All Reserve users must follow these instructions until further notice.

The status of Council’s other Recreation Reserves remain the same as the previous updates, which is Humpty Doo Village Green and Livingstone Recreation Reserve are closed to the public. Berry Springs and Howard Park Recreation Reserves are open only during school drop off and pick up times as they are connected to the school, however, the skatepark and playgrounds are closed.

We thank you for your understanding.
