Selection Process

Your application will be acknowledged when it is received at the office, and Council will contact you shortly after as to the progress of your application, once the short listing process has been finalised.  Litchfield Council is committed to recruiting the best possible candidates. Accordingly, the selection process is based on merit principles and equal employment opportunity. Your application will be assessed against the requirements of the position, based on your qualifications, response to selection criteria, and your relevant experience.

If you are short listed for an interview, the Council will contact you with details of where and when the interview will take place.

The selection process may also include:

  • Practical assessments
  • Fit for work medical assessment
  • Working with Children Check (Ochre Card)
  • Background and criminal history check
