Taminmin Community Library Litchfield Collection
The Litchfield Collection is a local history collection from within and around the Litchfield Municipality. Areas covered include Humpty Doo, Noonamah, Bees Creek, Shoal Bay, Gunn Point, Manton Dam, Darwin River Dam, Virginia and many others.
What Is Included?
The collection aims to reflect the colourful cultural history of Litchfield Municipality. Material in the collection includes books, journals, newspapers, pamphlets, posters, maps, cassettes, videotapes, oral histories, photographs, Aboriginal artefacts, reports, diaries, community information and ephemera.
Who Can Use It?
The Litchfield Collection is available to anyone interested in Northern Territory history. We welcome researchers, school students and visitors to the Taminmin Community Library to view the Litchfield Collection. As material in the collection is of a valuable nature it may only be used in the library.

Services
Medical Centres
GP surgeries are situated at Coolalinga, Howard Springs and Humpty Doo and can be located in the yellow pages of the phone book. For Medical Emergencies call 000 or travel into Darwin to the Royal Darwin Hospital, Rocklands Drive, Tiwi.
Library Service
The Taminmin Community Library, funded by the Northern Territory Government, is a joint use library administered by the Northern Territory Library and the Northern Territory Department of Employment, Education and Training.
The Community Library serves the public of the Litchfield Municipality and the staff and students of Taminmin High School. It is situated in the High School grounds on Challoner Circuit, Humpty Doo. A remote borrowing service is offered, where you can call on 89880040 or email: taminmin.dlghs@nt.gov.au
The Library also offers a delivery service for people that are housebound due to disability or aging. Please contact the Library to arrange this service.
The Litchfield Council provides an annual grant to the Taminmin Community Library to maintain the historical Litchfield collection.
